HR Consultancy is working with this large insurance company, in their search for a commercial insurance underwriting assistant to join their team in Glasgow city centre for a 12 month period, providing administrative & technical support to senior underwriters.  

The role

  • Working closely with senior underwriters
  • File creation and maintenance. 
  • Scanning documents
  • Answering telephone calls and taking accurate messages
  • Assisting underwriters with their workload
  • End of month account reconciliation
  • General administration and involvement in ad hoc projects as required
     

The Person

  • Ideally, you should have
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience providing administrative support in an insurance environment
  • Have the ability to use your own initiative. 
  • IT literate
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and pro-active in their approach to work.
  • Insurance product knowledge would be beneficial.

This position is a maternity cover contract for 12 months starting immediately
