Account Handler / Broker - Glasgow

HR Consultancy is happy to be assisting this leading broker in their search for a commercial insurance account handler to join their Glasgow city centre office. 


The role:

  • To work closely with account managers and account executives within busy broking team
  • Handle SME to mid-size commercial insurance risks
  • Deal with quotations, renewals, MTA’s, policy issue, insurer negotiations, etc.
  • Ensure that all instructions and requirements are handled promptly and accurately
  • Provide a full administration service for commercial clients
  • Build strong insurer and client relationships

The Person:

  • Proven experience with a commercial insurance broking environment
  • Experience using Acturis would be preferred
  • Cert CII or above – preferred but not essential
  • Good presentation, & communication skills essential
  • Strong organisational skills - ensuring company processes and procedures are followed
  • A good understanding of commercial insurance products including property, motor, EL, PL, commercial combined
  • Experience of quality risk submissions achieving best terms for clients with insurance markets


Core working hours are Monday – Friday from 9am to 5pm.
