Our General Insurance division is busier than ever here at HR Consultancy, as I have recently welcomed Elaine McCrink into our team. In doing so, we’ve created the strongest Insurance recruitment team in Scotland – if we don’t have the job or the candidate, it doesn’t exist.
Elaine has brought with her twenty years of experience in the Insurance recruitment market. In the relatively small Scottish market, we are three incredibly strong and knowledgeable industry experts.
As Director of Insurance, I have welcomed Elaine as Principal Consultant, working alongside her fellow Principal, Stuart McKenna. I have been with HR Consultancy for fifteen years, and Stuart has a further twelve years recruitment experience. For both our clients and candidates, we are a ‘one stop shop’. All of the market knowledge and expertise you’ll ever need can be found in one team: Ours.
Elaine and I have actually been competitors over the years, so it is a really coup for the company that she has decided to come on board. It speaks volumes about HR Consultancy’s dedication to securing the very best talent, both in our own offices and in those of our clients.
In addition, Elaine brings with her the Ladies of Insurance Lunches, a regular event, hosted in various cities across Scotland, which she founded seven years ago. These are hugely popular events which truly add value to our Insurance offering.
I couldn’t be more thrilled to head up such a hard working and dedicated team or recruiters. All three of us have exceptionally extensive networks, stretching across the entire market. Stuart and Elaine will be recruiting for various sub-sectors of the Insurance industry, including claims, underwriting, broking, loss adjusting and sales.
As a team, we have our finger on the pulse of the market. We regularly read up and write about the very latest industry developments, constantly looking out for new developments or laws that may affect our clients or candidates.

We have almost fifty years’ experience between us – sixty if you include our Managing Director, Hilary Roberts’, insurance recruitment background.
